Fran Raybould Associates

Fran has worked across many sectors including retail, transport, leisure, cultural and public realm. She is trained as an interior and furniture designer, but has specialised in recent years in wayfinding and signing projects, giving her particular expert skills in this niche area.

Having recently set up her own consultancy specialising in wayfinding, signing and placemaking, Fran runs her business from her base in Shropshire but works on projects throughout the UK, Europe and Russia. She is currently directing a new build project in Poland for a retail park and shopping centre combining branding, signing throughout the scheme, external brand expression, interior design of the mall, foodcourt, furniture, kiosks and restroom facilities.

Fran’s skill set and experience means that she can combine the direction of analysis of interpretation, three dimensional interior and product design, graphic communication, wayfinding scheduling, sign design, touchscreen technology and software programming.  These elements are all required for Glentress and it is important to create a team that is 2 dimensionally and 3 dimensionally excellent. Fran Raybould Associates draws on the skills of graphic designers, product designers, CAD, 3D modelling, web design, touchscreen programming, lighting design and artist makers, as required to suit the particular requirements of each project.

In recent years Fran has worked in conjunction with IS Group, as can be seen on the Eagles Meadow project in Wrexham. IS Group use Fran’s skills to compliment their in-house technical design studio and Fran draws on their detailed wealth of product design, manufacturing skills and LED knowledge at the research & development stage of projects, they’re particularly useful in helping to realise the creative vision in practical terms and in bringing value engineering skills to bear on a project.
